Just Dance Orkney was established in 2007 by Joanna Sutherland ARAD.

The school offers a wide variety of styles of dance for ages 2.5 years to adults. We are an inclusive school and our classes are open to all. Teachers are fully trained and motivated to offering a happy and safe environment designed to get the best out of our students.

We are delighted to offer students the following opportunities:

Just Dance offers students the opportunity to take examinations with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD). We offer exams in the following:

Students are given many performance opportunities throughout the year. These range from our annual show at the local theatre to parades, local events and concerts. Our performance team also provide entertainment to the cruise ships visiting the Islands.

For those who excel in their dance classes and wish to represent the school, students are selected to compete at competitions. We have had great success and it’s always a fun trip away!

Our dance families are all welcome to join Jo on dance/educational trips away. These are hugely popular and everyone always has a brilliant time! All abilities and ages are welcome. On our tips we take part in dance workshops, performances, see a variety of shows and musicals and of course there’s always a little time for shopping! Our previous trips have included locations such as London, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. We can’t wait to see where we go next!

We regularly hold workshops with guest teachers. These are open to all or relevant ages/abilities.
